RSVP for 2010 Asian American Awards
Honoring Dr. Donald Cheu '55
Dr. Donald H. Cheu will be presented with the 2010 Alumni Award at the annual A3C Stanford Asian American Awardsdinner on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. Dr. Cheu graduated from Stanford in 1955 with majors in Biological Sciences and Medical Microbiology and is a Board Certified General Surgeon, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a retired member of the Surgery Department Staff of the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in South San Francisco . He was very active in the Chinese Clubhouse while an undergrad and continued to be an active Stanford alum, serving on the founding SAPAAC Board of Directors. Don Cheu has been honored and recognized for his expertise and service in disaster preparedness, has given over 250 lectures on disaster related topics and chaired and/or served on many statewide and regional disaster and emergency response committees.
The Stanford Asian American Awards dinner honors faculty, staff, alumni and undergraduate and graduate students for their outstanding achievements and service. The dinner is an opportunity for all segments of the community to come together, renew ties and look forward to new collaborations and projects.
The Asian American Awards Ceremony is hosted by the A3C, and will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 6pm-9pm on the Stanford Campus. Venue information will be sent to registrants.
