Since its modest beginnings as the Stanford Filipino Association (SFA) in January 1990, PASU has grown to be a recognizable and respected presence in both the Asian American and Stanford communities. The dance group Kayumanggi performs at several campus events and, in 2008, encored their annual Spring Show in San Francisco. The Kapatid Mentoring Program makes weekly visits to Fremont High School and raises money each year for scholarships to promising mentees. In late 2009, in conjunction with other campus groups, PASU has raised over $4000 and collected several boxes of goods towards Typhoon Ketsana relief efforts. Now, PASU has designated Aumni Relations officers! These are a few examples of how PASU remains committed to promoting the well-being of the Filipino diaspora.

While PASU continues to be visibly active on campus and beyond, now 20 years of PASU alumni are making an impact in their respective local communities and their professional careers.

In January 2010, former PASU members, family, friends and current students will all celebrate PASU's 20th Anniversary for a weekend of fun, nostalgia, and "bayanihan."

This is a casual weekend for PASU alumni, their families, and friends. Come enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities as we celebrate old friends, personal and community milestones, and new beginnings!
