The Stanford Asian Pacific American Alumni Club (SAPAAC) proudly sponsors two awards that recognize outstanding commitment and service to Stanford's Asian American community. These awards honor individuals who embody SAPAAC's mission of fostering leadership, community engagement, and meaningful contribution to Asian American advancement.
Emory Lee Alumni Award
Presented at the Stanford Asian American Awards Ceremony (early May)
The Emory Lee Alumni Award recognizes a Stanford alumnus/alumna who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to Stanford and Asian American communities through leadership, service, and/or financial contribution.
This award honors the legacy of Emory Lee '59, MA '64, a pioneering advocate who dedicated his life to advancing opportunities for Asian American students and fostering community at Stanford. Emory's vision and tireless work helped establish the foundation for Asian American support and representation on campus that continues today.
Recognition: The recipient will have their name added to the perpetual plaque on display at the Asian American Activities Center (A³C), receive a framed certificate, and be honored at the Stanford Asian American Awards Ceremony.

SAPAAC Senior Award
Presented at the Asian American Graduation Celebration (mid June)
The SAPAAC Senior Award is presented annually to a graduating senior who has demonstrated outstanding service to the Stanford Asian American community and the Asian American community at large.
This award celebrates graduating students who have made meaningful contributions through leadership, advocacy, community building, and service during their time at Stanford.
Recognition: The recipient will have their name added to the perpetual plaque on display at the A³C, receive a cash award, a framed certificate, and a Lifetime membership in SAPAAC.
Eligibility: Nominee must be a graduating senior and must attend the Asian American Graduation Celebration.
